Roofing website design, done properly, costs $799 to $3,999+ and takes two to eight weeks. What you are paying for is simple to list: a page for every roofing service and every town you cover, a free inspection request that takes a minute, tap-to-call on every screen, and a site that loads before a homeowner on a phone gives up. We publish the price because almost nobody selling roofing web design does.

People search for this in several ways. Web design for roofers, roofer website design, roofing company website design, a roofing contractor website and websites for roofers all describe the same job, and this page answers all of them. If you are comparing roofing web design services or choosing a roofing web design company, the sections below cover price, timeline and proof, which is where most of them go quiet.

We build for residential and commercial roofers, exterior contractors and storm restoration firms across the United States, as one of the trades in our contractor website design work. You own the code, the content, the domain and the hosting.

What we found

We measured 342 roofing websites. Nine loaded properly.

Every homepage was run through Google PageSpeed Insights on a mobile connection on 13 September 2026, and we read its code for a phone link, a form and local markup.

9 of 342

loaded their main content inside Google’s 2.5 second target on a phone.

9.2s

was the median load time, almost four times the target.

147

sites took longer than 10 seconds before a visitor saw anything useful.

77

homepages had no tap-to-call link anywhere, so a phone visitor could not dial in one tap.

Chart of load times for 342 measured US roofing websites against Google's 2.5 second target

Speed is where this trade loses most. Only 9 sites cleared the target, the median score was 57 out of 100, and 126 homepages weighed more than 5 MB. The slowest took 121.6 seconds to paint its main content.

The basics are patchier than you would expect too. 144 homepages had no form to request an inspection, and 51 carried no structured data at all. How we measured matters, so here it is plainly: these are 342 US roofing companies with up to 100 staff that returned a usable result, out of 402 we tried. They came from a lead list, not a random sample of the whole industry, and each was measured once.

What you get

What a roofing contractor website needs to include

Web design for roofers comes down to seven things that decide whether a site brings inspection requests. Everything else is decoration on top of these, and each one below exists to turn a roofing search into a booked inspection.

A page per service, a page per area

Roof repair, full replacement, inspections, storm damage and gutters are separate searches. One page listing all five ranks properly for none of them, and the same goes for every town you cover. Navigation stays simple: Services, Areas, Gallery, Reviews and Contact.

A free inspection request that takes a minute

Most roofing work starts with an inspection, so the main form asks for that and nothing more: name, phone, address and what they have noticed, with an optional photo. Of the roofing sites we measured, 144 had no form on the homepage at all.

A storm damage path

After a storm, homeowners search straight away, usually from a phone. A dedicated storm damage page with the phone number in the first screen, what happens during an inspection, and how you work with insurance claims answers that search directly.

Speed that survives a phone signal

The median roofing site we measured took 9.2 seconds to show its main content, and the heaviest homepage weighed 48.2 MB. We hand-code builds instead of stacking page-builder plugins, which is most of why our sites stay fast.

Proof a nervous homeowner looks for

License number, insurance, manufacturer certifications if you hold them, and your Google reviews on the page. Before and after photos of your own roofs, not stock images of someone else’s crew. We place them beside the inspection form, where the decision to call actually gets made.

Markup that names your trade and your area

Schema.org has a RoofingContractor type under LocalBusiness that carries your service area and opening hours. We add it to every build so search engines do not have to guess where you work. 51 of the roofing sites we measured carried no structured data at all.

Everything in your name

Code, content, domain and hosting stay yours. No proprietary platform, no monthly lease on a site you never own, and nothing that stops working if you decide to leave. If you switch developers later, the new one has full access from day one.

Proof

Named clients, real numbers

No roofing company website has shipped under our name yet, and we would rather say that plainly than let a case study suggest otherwise. The closest work we have done is for a skylight installer whose crews work on roofs every day, and a builder. Those are the projects below, and they are the ones we attach numbers to.

A trade business winning on structure: a page per service, a page per area, and contact never more than a tap away. The same build a roofing company needs.

Why we publish this

Every agency ranking for roofing website design names clients. Almost none attaches a measured number to the name, and most keep their prices off the page entirely.

Most roofers land on the Professional package, because it covers a page for each service and each town, which is what ranking locally depends on. Two questions settle the price before you sign anything. How many services and towns need their own page? Does the site need to connect to a CRM or estimating tool? The full breakdown is on our pricing page.

How it runs

Four steps, two to eight weeks

01

Free consultation

A 30-minute call about the roofing work you want more of. You leave with a fixed price and a written scope, whether or not you go ahead.

02

Structure and content

We map the services and towns that each need their own page, then write them in plain English from what you tell us. This is the part that decides whether the site ranks.

03

Build and measure

The site gets built, then measured with the same checks we ran on 342 roofing websites: load speed on a phone, tap-to-call, forms and local markup.

04

Launch and hand over

Everything moves into your accounts. Post-launch support runs 15 to 60 days depending on the package, and care plans are optional after that.

Getting found

Roofing website SEO, and where it stops

Being clear about what a build includes and what it does not is worth more than a promise we would have to walk back later.

What the build includes

A page structure search engines can read, a separate page for every town you cover so each one can rank on its own, correct titles and headings, fast loading, and the RoofingContractor schema type that names your service area. That is the technical half of roofing website SEO, and it is the half most roofing sites skip: 51 of the sites we measured carried no structured data at all.

We also make your website and your Google Business Profile say the same thing, the same way. A profile listing services the site never mentions gives search engines two different answers about what you do. The off-site half is set out step by step in our local SEO checklist for contractors.

What it does not

An ongoing search campaign, review generation or monthly citation building. Those are real work with a real monthly cost, and folding them into a fixed build price would mean either underdelivering or padding the quote.

If you want that handled, it is a separate conversation with a separate number, and we will tell you honestly whether you need it yet.

SEO and speed optimization →

What happens after launch

You own the code, the content, the domain and the hosting account. Nothing sits on a proprietary platform, so nothing stops working if you decide to leave. Post-launch support runs 15 to 60 days depending on the package.

After that, care plans start at $99 a month for updates, backups, monitoring and a real person to reply. They are optional. If you already have a roofing site and speed is what is failing you, a redesign is often cheaper than starting over.
