What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. They help the site remember your preferences or understand how you use it. Some cookies are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only used with your consent.

Cookies we use

We keep our cookie use minimal. Here is what we set and why:

• Necessary: websloop_cookie_consent: remembers whether you accepted or declined optional cookies so we do not show the banner on every page. Expires after 365 days. No personal data is sent anywhere.
• Analytics (only after consent): Google Analytics 4 (_ga, _ga_*): helps us understand how many people visit, which pages they read, and what device they use. This data is anonymised and aggregated. If you decline cookies, these are never loaded.
• Analytics (only after consent): Microsoft Clarity (_clck, _clsk): records how visitors move through pages, so we can see where a layout confuses people. Clarity also causes Microsoft to set third-party cookies on its own domains (MUID, ANONCHK, MR, SM, CLID). Microsoft states that MUID is used for advertising, site analytics, and other operational purposes on Microsoft sites. If you decline cookies, none of these are loaded.

What we do not use

We do not run advertising cookies of our own, we do not retarget you, and we do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers. One thing we will not hide: Microsoft Clarity causes Microsoft to set its own third-party cookies, and Microsoft says MUID is used for advertising among other purposes on Microsoft properties. That is outside our control, which is exactly why Clarity only loads after you accept cookies. Decline, and neither Clarity nor Google Analytics is ever loaded.

Your choices

When you first visit websloop.com, a banner asks you to accept or decline optional cookies. You can change your mind at any time by clearing your browser cookies, the banner will appear again on your next visit.

You can also block or delete cookies directly in your browser settings. Blocking all cookies will not stop the site from working, but the analytics banner may reappear on each visit.

Analytics opt-out

The simplest route is to clear this site's cookies, which makes the consent banner ask again so you can decline. For Google Analytics specifically, you can install the opt-out browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout, which works across every site using Google Analytics.
