Construction company website design

Websites for contractors and builders that prove the work, make the enquiry easy, and rank in the areas you actually serve. Fixed prices, published in full.

Construction company website design, done properly, costs $799 to $3,999+ and takes two to eight weeks. What you are buying is a project gallery that proves the work, quote forms and click-to-call on every page, a page for each service and area you cover, and markup that tells search engines you are a contractor. We publish the price because almost nobody in this trade does.

We build for contractors, builders, roofers, electricians and civil firms across the US, UK and UAE. You own the code, the content, the domain and the hosting.

What we found

We measured ten construction websites. Two loaded properly.

Run through Google's own tools on 12 August 2026, including some of the largest contractors in the UK and UAE.

2 of 10

cleared Google’s 2.5 second target for load speed on mobile.

47.9 MB

was the heaviest homepage, taking over a minute and a half to paint.

6 of 9

readable homepages carried no click-to-call link anywhere.

6 of 9

had no structured data at all, and none used the contractor type.

The full study, with every number and the method behind it, is published at best construction company websites, measured. None of the agencies competing for your search publishes anything comparable.

What you get

Built for how construction work actually gets won

Six things that decide whether a contractor site brings enquiries. Everything else is decoration on top of these.

Project galleries that sell

Real photographs with scope, location and timeline attached, so a buyer can see you have done work like theirs. Depth beats a slideshow of thumbnails every time.

Quote forms that get finished

Short forms that ask for what you actually need to price a job, on every page rather than buried in Contact. Plus click-to-call, which six of the nine construction homepages we could read did not have at all.

A page per service and per area

Roofing, fit-out, civil and groundworks are different searches. One page listing all four ranks properly for none of them, and the same is true of every town you cover.

Speed that holds up on site

Enquiries come from phones on patchy signal. The heaviest construction homepage we measured shipped 47.9 MB and took over a minute and a half to paint on a mobile connection.

Schema that names your trade

Schema.org has a GeneralContractor type sitting under LocalBusiness, carrying service area and location. Zero of the ten sites we measured used it.

Everything in your name

Code, content, domain and hosting stay yours. No proprietary platform, no lock-in, and nothing that stops working if you leave.

Proof

Named clients, real numbers

We have built for trades already. M8owes Construction and Hunter Skylights are both on the logo strip above, alongside two painting firms and a solar installer. The two projects below are the ones where we measured the before and after, so they are the only ones we attach numbers to.

M8owes Construction

Builder, Sydney, Australia

Built by us. The three things this page argues a contractor site needs are all on the homepage above: a call button in the hero, a Request a Quote action in the header, and a featured project gallery further down. The build also carries a five-step process, named team profiles with roles, and a client testimonial.

Why we publish this and others do not

Every agency ranking for this search names clients. Almost none of them attaches a number to the name, and none publishes a price.

A logo wall tells you somebody paid them. It does not tell you what happened next. Ask any agency you are comparing for the figure and the timeframe behind their proof.

How it runs

Four steps, two to eight weeks

01

Free consultation

A 30-minute call about the work you want to win, not a pitch. You leave with a fixed price and a scope in writing, whether or not you go ahead.

02

Structure and content

We map the services and areas that each need their own page, then write them. This is the slow part and the part that decides whether the site ranks.

03

Build and measure

The site gets built, then measured on the same four checks we ran across the industry: load speed, layout stability, click-to-call and schema.

04

Launch and hand over

Everything transfers into your accounts. Post-launch support runs 15 to 60 days depending on the package, and care plans are optional after that.

What happens after launch

You own the code, the content, the domain and the hosting account. Nothing is held on a proprietary platform, so nothing stops working if you decide to leave. Post-launch support runs 15 to 60 days depending on the package.

After that, care plans start at $99 a month for updates, backups, monitoring and a real person to reply. They are optional, and you can hand the site to anyone else instead. We would rather publish that number than let it appear on an invoice later.

Construction website FAQ

Questions about construction websites

What contractors and builders ask us most often before starting a build, answered with published figures rather than ranges. These cover what a construction company website costs, how long it takes, what makes this trade different, whether we work with roofers and electricians, how local ranking works, what happens after launch, whether a rebuild risks your rankings, and how deep the project gallery needs to be.
