Logo design for small business is the job of giving a company one clear mark that works everywhere it appears: a Google listing, a van door, a business card, a social profile and a website header. Websloop designs custom logos for small businesses from $149, with original concepts, vector files and the copyright transferred to you in writing.

Most small businesses end up with a logo that was made in a hurry. It came from a template, a contest or a friend, it only exists as a low-resolution image, and nobody is sure who owns it. It looks fine on the website and falls apart on a sign. Professional logo design services fix that once, properly, at a price a new business can actually pay.

Logo design for small business: what it has to survive

Most people first see your logo small: a 40-pixel square in Google Maps, a round social avatar, a browser tab. Then they see it big, on a truck, a shopfront or a trade-show banner. A good small business logo reads at both sizes, works in one colour for stamps and embroidery, and still looks right on a dark background.

That is why we test every concept as a favicon, an avatar and a black-only mark before you see it. A professional logo design is not about how clever the symbol is. It is about whether customers can recognise it in the half-second they give it.

How much does a logo cost in 2026?

Published 2026 pricing guides put a professional logo for most small businesses at $300 to $2,000. Below that sit marketplace gigs and logo makers, above it sit agency brand projects. Our custom logo design starts at $149, with vector files and the copyright included, because we design logos alongside the websites we build and do not carry an agency sales team.

  • Logo design: from $149
  • Business card design: from $49
  • Website design: from $799
  • Bigger brand scopes: fixed quote in writing

Do you actually own your logo?

This is the question most owners never ask until it costs them. Under US copyright law the designer is generally the first owner of a commissioned logo. Paying the invoice does not change that, and neither does receiving a PNG. Only a written assignment transfers the rights to your business.

Every logo we deliver comes with that assignment, and with the vector source files. If your current logo came from a freelancer or a contest with no paperwork, it is worth checking before you print 5,000 flyers or file a trademark.

Custom logo design or a logo maker?

A logo maker is the right call for a weekend project or a business name you are still testing. A custom logo design is the right call once the mark is going on vehicles, uniforms, signage or a trademark application. That is the point where a template shared with other companies, and a file you cannot scale, start to cost real money.

Your logo is also the starting point for everything else we make: your business card design, your social media management and your website. See all of our graphic design services for the full brand work.

Our work

Logo design samples

48 logo concepts from our own design work, across many industries and styles: wordmarks, lettermarks and pictorial marks. They are shown as a sample of range rather than a client list, because a logo often ships long before the business behind it is ready to be named. Every one was drawn, not assembled from a template.

What you get

What our logo design services include

Original concepts, written revision rounds, vector files, a colour and font reference, and the copyright in your name. Everything is listed in the quote.

Original logo concepts

Every concept is drawn for your business from your brief, not pulled from a template library or a generator. We start from where the logo will actually be seen, a Google listing, a van door, a social avatar, and design for that. You see a small set of considered directions rather than a long list of quick drafts, because choosing between three good options is easier than sorting through thirty.

Revisions written down

The number of revision rounds is in your proposal before you pay a deposit, so nobody is guessing halfway through. Each round has a clear purpose: first we pick a direction, then we refine it, then we test it at real sizes. Open-ended revisions sound generous, but they are usually how a two-week logo turns into a two-month one.

Small-size and one-colour testing

Before you see a concept, we check it as a favicon, as a social avatar, in black only and on a dark background. A logo that only works large on a designer's screen is failing where most customers first see it. This one step catches more problems than any number of revision rounds.

The price

Logo design pricing, in full

One published starting price, then a fixed quote in writing for anything bigger. No hourly billing and no surprise fees for the files you need.

Logo design

From $149

An original logo for a small business, from brief to final files.

  • Original concepts drawn for you
  • Revision rounds set in your proposal
  • AI, EPS and SVG vector files
  • Transparent PNG and JPG
  • Colour and font reference
  • Copyright transferred in writing

What moves the price

The starting price covers one logo. The quote goes up when you add extra versions (stacked, icon, one-colour), a full brand guide, stationery, or a redraw of a complex illustration. Each item is listed with its price before you sign.

Not included: trademark filing (an attorney does that), printing (paid to your printer), and paid stock images or font licences, which we quote before buying.

Who we are not for: Not the right fit if you want fifty logo options by tomorrow from a contest, or if a free logo maker already gives you what you need. We design one considered mark with the files and the rights, not a pile of quick drafts.

How it runs

How a logo project runs

Four steps from brief to files. Guides put a custom logo at one to four weeks; your proposal carries real dates instead of a range.

01

Brief and a fixed quote

A short call or written brief covers your business, your customers, logos you like and where the mark will be used. You get a fixed price and a dated timeline in writing. Logo design starts at $149, and anything beyond a single logo is itemized before you pay a deposit.

02

Concepts

We draw a small set of original directions and test each at real sizes before you see them. Every concept comes with a short note on why it was drawn that way, so feedback is about the business rather than personal taste.

03

Refine and test

You pick a direction and we refine it through the revision rounds in your proposal: shape, spacing, type and colour. We show it in context, on a card, a website header and a social profile, so you approve what customers will actually see.

04

Files and handover

You receive the vector and everyday files, the colour and font reference, and the written copyright assignment. If the logo is going onto a website, business cards or social media with us, those start from the same files the same week.

Why us

Why small businesses choose Websloop

A price you can see before you call

Most logo studios hide pricing until a sales call. Ours starts at $149 and is printed on this page, below the $300 to $2,000 range that 2026 guides quote for most small business logos. You get a fixed quote in writing before any deposit.

Designers who also build websites

Since 2015 we have built more than 150 websites. We know how a logo behaves in a site header, a Google Business Profile and a mobile menu, so we design it for those places first and the wall second.

You own it, on paper

The copyright transfers to your business in writing, and you get the vector source files. That is the part many cheap logos skip, and it only comes to light when you try to trademark the mark or print it large.

One team for the whole brand

Logo, business cards, social media and website from the same people, using the same files and colours. Nothing gets re-explained to a new vendor, and nothing drifts out of match six months later.

Published 2026 pricing guidance puts a professional logo for most small businesses at $300 to $2,000, with the recommendation being a freelancer who runs a real discovery process rather than the cheapest option.

“A professional logo costs $300 to $2,000 for most small businesses in 2026.”

Under US law the designer, not the business paying for the work, is generally the initial copyright owner of a commissioned logo. Paying the invoice and receiving the files does not transfer the rights; only a written agreement does.

“Paying for a design does not, by itself, transfer copyright. Neither does receiving a final PNG, JPG, or vector file.”

A professional custom logo for a small business is put at one to four weeks, with a few well-considered directions held to be more useful than a large batch of loosely developed ideas.

“For most small businesses, a professional custom logo takes anywhere from one to four weeks.”
