Project Overview

About this project

Hunter Premium Skylights is run by Scott Holland. He installs Velux skylights, solar lights, attic ladders, and roof ventilation across the Newcastle, Hunter, and Port Stephens region of NSW. Their site was already built on Wix. The redesign stayed on that platform, with custom code layered on top plus on-page and technical SEO. Traffic rose 80% afterward and inquiries rose 55%. Their own analytics also showed a sharp jump in queries arriving from AI answer engines. That is real evidence the SEO work reaches beyond traditional search.

The Challenge

What was holding them back

Before we started, we ran a full audit of the existing site and the competitive environment. These were the core problems we needed to solve.

  • 1The existing Wix site listed the full service range, skylights, solar lights, attic ladders, and ventilation, but wasn’t converting that traffic into real inquiries.
  • 2A trades business like this lives or dies on local search visibility, and the site had no real on-page or technical SEO behind it.
  • 3The redesign had to stay inside Wix rather than migrate platforms and rebuild the existing setup from scratch.

Our Solution

What we built and why

Our approach was methodical: fix the technical foundations first, then focus on design and conversion. Every decision was driven by a measurable business result. Anything that did not move one of those numbers was left out of scope.

Start a similar project
  • A full redesign of the existing Wix site, delivered in 3 weeks with no platform migration.
  • Custom code added on top of Wix’s default editor for the parts the visual builder alone couldn’t handle.
  • On-page SEO across the site (titles, headings, page structure) plus a technical SEO pass on top of the rebuild.
  • Streamlined calls to action through the page instead of relying on a single contact form at the bottom.
  • Ongoing website maintenance and support after launch.

Client-Reported Results

Hunter Premium Skylights: by the numbers

Hunter Premium Skylights launched in 2025 after a 3 weeks build. The figures below are the change the client reported after that launch. We publish the client name and a link to the live site with every case study, so the site behind these numbers can be checked.
