A plumbing website costs a few hundred dollars a year if you build it yourself on a site builder. A freelancer working off a template runs $500 to $3,000. An agency building it custom is commonly quoted at $3,000 to $15,000. Our own prices are fixed and published: $799 for a five-page site, $1,999 once you need a page per service and per town, and $3,999+ for multi-branch work.
Those first three brackets come from pricing guides published by agencies selling the work, which is worth knowing when you read them. The last one is ours, and you can check it on our pricing page right now.

Four Questions Decide Most of the Cost
Not the feature list. Agencies quote from a handful of structural decisions, and these four move the number more than everything else combined. Answer them before you ask anybody for a price and the quotes that come back suddenly become comparable to each other. Skip them and you will be handed four numbers that describe four different projects.
How many services need their own page?
Drain cleaning, water heaters, boiler repair and emergency callouts are four different searches. One page listing all four ranks properly for none of them. Each service that needs to rank on its own is a page that needs writing, and writing is the slow part.
How many towns do you actually serve?
A town page only works if it says something true about that town. Ten genuinely different town pages cost real money. Ten pages with the town name swapped cost less and are treated by Google as doorway pages, which is worse than not having them at all.
Does the site need to book jobs, or just take calls?
A click-to-call number costs nothing to add. Online scheduling that writes into your existing dispatch or CRM system is an integration, and integrations are where quotes separate hardest. Be clear which one you need before you compare prices. Most plumbing work still gets booked by phone, so booking software is worth paying for only when your jobs are scheduled rather than urgent.
Who is writing the content?
If you supply the copy the build is cheaper and usually better, because you know what customers actually ask. If the agency writes it, that is real hours on somebody’s timesheet. Quotes that look unusually low often assume you are supplying everything, so check that line before you treat one number as cheaper than another.
Our Own Plumbing Website Prices
Published in full rather than quoted on request. Every tier is a fixed price, not an estimate that moves once the work starts. Deposit is 50% and delivery runs 2 to 8 weeks.
| Package | Price | Who it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Starter | $799 | A single-location plumber who needs to look credible and take calls. |
| Professional | $1,999 | A growing firm that wants each service and each town to rank on its own. |
| Enterprise | $3,999+ | Multi-branch operators and firms with dispatch or CRM systems to connect. |
The Costs That Rarely Appear in the Quote
A build price is not a total cost of ownership. These four line items turn up after launch on every project, and leaving them out of the comparison is how a cheap quote stops being cheap inside a year.
- Hosting and domain. Roughly $50 to $200 a year for a site this size. Pay the host directly. Anyone marking it up is charging you to forward an invoice.
- Keeping the software patched. A WordPress site left unpatched is the most common way small business sites get defaced. Our care plan covers updates, backups and monitoring from $99 a month, and you are free to do it yourself instead.
- Search work. Optional, ongoing and genuinely open-ended. It belongs in its own budget line, not folded into a build price where it becomes impossible to judge.
- Content changes. Adding a service or a town later is a small job on a well-built site and an expensive one on a template that was never structured to grow.
What About a One-Page Plumbing Website?
People search for this often enough that it deserves a direct answer. A one-page plumbing site usually runs $300 to $1,500.
We do not sell them. One page can only rank for one thing. Drain cleaning, boiler repair and every town you serve all end up competing from the same URL. If the budget only stretches to one page, a five-page Starter build at $799 does more for the same money over a year.
What Should You Charge for a Plumbing Website?
A fair number of people searching this are building the site, not buying it. If that is you, the brackets above are your market. What decides where you sit in them is which of the four questions the client has already answered.
Take two jobs. One client supplies the copy, needs four service pages and no integrations. The other needs ten town pages wired into a dispatch system. Both will ask you for a single number. They are not the same job.
Price the second at template rates and you will lose money on it. That is the most common quoting mistake I see in this trade.
Where to Start
Decide how many services and towns need their own page before you talk to anybody. That single answer moves the price more than any feature on a proposal. Then compare like with like, and ask every quote what happens after launch.
